Between April and September of 2019, the UK's biggest food bank network, the Trussell Trust provided over 800,000 emergency food parcels to people in crisis.
After the Corona-virus lockdown in March 2020, the number of food parcels issued was almost double its usual volume with 50,000 parcels being issued in the space of a week.
These food 'portraits' display foods typically found in food bank parcels that are being put together to feed those struggling in Britain. They aim to address the rise in food poverty in Britain, but also represent the daily resilience of those living in poverty in 2020.
